Please call them - they can at least give you some tips or take the baby.
A few years ago, a live baby squirrel fell through our chimney. I called Jerry Buckingham for assistance and he was really great and sensitive to the matter. Phone: (973) 762-6760
Squirrel update...I called both of the above places and they would take the squirrel in for observation. Unfortunately, he was really struggling so we called our vet to evaluate if it would be more humane to euthanize him. They felt that due to his injuries that would be best. Everyone here is a bit sad tonight we were hoping that he had something that was treatable. Thanks for all the information, it was much appreciated.
Thanks for providing a little comfort to the poor thing. RIP, baby squirrel. : - (

We have an injured baby squirrel in our backyard. I placed him in a box with lots of towels to keep him warm but wondered if anyone know of a local place I can take him to. I'm in Chatham and waiting for the animal control to call me. We use Millburn's officer and I know he does not work everyday so am concerned I may not hear back today. Any ideas?
