I want to bring food to families in need in maplewood, how can I do that? Does anyone know? TY in advance

Parenting Center, Rent Party, St. Joseph's, Our Lady of Sorrows, and Ob Shalom are the organizations I know of locally that work to combat food insecurity in Maplewood.

Food donations can be dropped off at the Rectory front door from Monday-Saturday from 7am4pm, and Sunday from 8am-12pm. If you have a large food donation or would like to run a food drive for us, please contact Kate Cahill.

The OLS pantry (and likely some of the others) are part of the MEND food pantry network.   

Also, the Parenting Center is working together with Rent Party to provide "family packs" of shelf-stable food.  Here's the text of the email I got in the last few days related to that outreach:

Hello Everyone,

I hope this email is finding everyone safe and well. This email is to announce the next round of deliveries for our Parenting Center Food Insecure Families. For those of you who have bags prepared already or still have the ability to go out and shop; we ask that you deliver an already completed Family Food Box with the following items:

Shelf Stable Milk
Cereal or Oatmeal - low sugar, Pasta and Sauce (no glass)
Canned Tuna, chicken or Salmon, Peanut Butter and Jelly
Mac and Cheese, Crackers and Cookies, Canned Vegetables,
Beans and Rice(1lb), cans or cups of fruit, applesauce, or raisin boxes, granola bars

If you would like to donate [$$] instead, please go to the Rent Party Website at www.rentpartylive.com . You can hit on donate at the bottom of the page and if you pay with paypal it will allow you to write Parenting Center in the memo. Donations will go to purchase of gift cards for food.
