how to help a sick wild fox (no not referring to an attractive woman so don't start)

Hi, a friend has a fox in her yard with a severe case of mange, over more than half its body. Is there a wildlife rehabilitator in northern nj who you could recommend? Thanks!

I think @Copihue helped a fox a few years ago. I frequently see foxes with mange and I know they can be treated but perhaps if you post on her blog she can direct your friend. I just saw a fox last night.

Try Woodlands Wildlife Refuge in Clinton. If they can't help, they'll be able to make recommendations about the best way to handle the situation. I suspect they won't come out with a trap, but if you get a trap and manage to trap the fox, I bet the Refuge will accept and treat the animal, if it's at all possible. http://www.woodlandswildlife.org

And clicks on this link will help the Refuge win a $50,000 grant: http://www.eaglerarelife.com/content/tracy-leaver

10/10 for the subject proviso. Cracked me up!
