I think we should all feel very fortunate that those commenting do not appear to want to move to our community.
Stateguy - She was an awesome, wonderful person and mentor, and her art and house are amazing.
It's a beautiful house. I don't know what the commentators are talking about, either. The only thing I agree with them on is that taxes here in Maplewood are way on the high side.
I agree it needs some updating, but by no means a dump as they describe it... and for taxes, folks commenting must live outside of Essex county...
The Star Ledger is woefully behind. This property has been under contract since April 17th. There were six offers.
this house is dated and badly in need of a major update. kitchen is terrible. no central air. it is also a few blocks away from a terrible neighborhood. it may be cool if you are some artsy hipster that thinks it is exciting to live on the fringes of high crime urban areas, but if you are raising a family take a pass on this one.
Now who in there right mind would want to buy property after the "arty hipsters" move in? Everyone knows what arty hipsters do to property values.
Glad I raised my family here instead of where ever Archduke F lives. Wonder what the F stands for?
Oh, and I'm fine with the kitchen too.
