What time do we get the results? Dying to know if there will be a big turnout as well as find out the results.
I'm not sure I'll be able to look. I'm kind of worried about this election.
How are the results made known in this local election? Normally I’d watch CNN but I suspect they won’t cover this...
****Edited to add: disregard, I see my answer in the other thread.
Results will be posted here as they are sent to the County after they are delivered to Village Hall:

Should start to be updated around 8:15 and could be done by 9, if all goes well.

Sheena and line c won big
Where did you see that? The link posted above shows zero of twelve precincts reporting....

Already? Can you post the numbers?
Looks like a more than a 3-1 win for Collum! 2310-710 (unofficial)

Where are you seeing that MHD? Link has many fewer votes.
Are we getting the Town Hall count, unofficially and the posted numbers are the ones that went to the county?
Numbers have been updated. Still not seeing MHD’s numbers but with 3 of 12 districts reporting Sheena has an almost 3:1 margin. Line C about 2:1 over Line D. Line A trails.
I'm afraid to be optimistic. The last time I felt that way, the Florida numbers came in.
So thankful that real work and progress for South Orange was recognized tonight at polls. Likewise, a repudiation of divisiveness, lies, and special interests.
Thank God!
I often complain on the national politics threads about a system that leaves me consistently voting against people instead of voting for them. Sheena Collum is the exception to that rule. I think she has done a great job as our Village President. For once in my life, I got to vote FOR someone today and I've got to tell you it felt great!
Yes it’s a good result. I was pretty sure Sheena would win, but I didn’t think she’d trounce them like she did. Good for her (and us).
Sorry annoying Bunny’s and Town Hall Deli people (I’ll still go to both places, though I am kinda souring on THD due to a couple mediocre sandwiches recently, after their price increase).

I'll let this thread sink after this post, but to clarify - at least two of the campaigns has volunteers in each of the polling places. When the polls closed, the poll workers print a copy of the results from the machines for the public and the rest gets sent to Village Hall.
Those volunteers then text/call the results into the campaign "celebration" where the results are tallied in Excel. As a result, the campaigns had the complete results way before Village Hall or the County.
Get out there and vote!
Polls are open until 8 pm. This election could be decided by a single vote. Don't let the crummy weather keep you home!
