Help Find Tiny the Cat! Missing since May 5th in Maplewood

WHERE IS TINY??? HE"S HOME 7.9.15

Tiny went missing last Tuesday, May 5th. He is a Furry Hearts Alumni kitty, and his family is worried sick. Tiny is friendly and may be hanging out in a nearby garage, or out visiting the neighborhood in the Tuscan/Franklin area of Maplewood. If you find Tiny please call His Momy Holly, at 646-456-7185, or call Lisa at Furry Hearts Rescue 908-420-0823.

Tiny is so adorable.  When I take my walk today, I will make a point of going that way and see if I can spot him.

Awww. Hope he is home soon. His face made my heart stop, he looks so much like my Anya.

Tiny does look adorable.  He looks like he is saying "what?"....  He better hurry home ~~ I took my walk today but didn't see the little guy.

Sadly, no news on Tiny.

The flyers are up around the area where Tiny lives and also in the post office on Springfield Avenue.  Hopefully someone will see Tiny and call ~~

Please ask the family to post here https://www.facebook.com/pages/Lost-and-Found-Pets-New-Jersey/165544503515421.  There's also a website here:  http://lostfoundpetsnj.wix.com/lostfoundpetsnj#!found-pets/c15s3  I'm not sure, but I suspect if you post on the website, your notice will appear on Facebook, and vice-versa.

I posted the missing cat poster on my Facebook page. I hope this helpd bring Tiny home safe and sound.

Tiny has been spotted by Lombardy and Burnett Avenue. Please keep a lookout if you are in the area. Thank You !

An NPR show years ago said that cats will usually go no more than 50 yards from their house before they get scared and hide.

I know we say this every time a cat goes missing, but it bears repeating, just in case:

Did anyone talk to the neighbors and ask them to check their garages and any garden sheds, as well as under decks and porches and behind shrubs? As Jack points out, most cats will hunker down close to home, especially if they are indoor cats. He might just be too afraid to make his presence known.

Tiny has come home!!!!!!

He is no longer missing!

Amazing news!!! So happy for you and your family! smile

Very glad for you and Tiny.

Yeah Tiny!!!! I hope he's OK. Might want to get him to a vet. He was missing a long time. Yeah Tiny!!!!

Please change thread title. YAY for Tiny!!!

Wow! he had a long vacation!! Did he just show up at the door, or was he found by someone?

So glad he made it home

If I COULD change the title I would, but for some reason I can't edit the title.

I'm the owner of Tiny--just associated with Furry Hearts Rescue from where he was adopted from. If I learn the details of his return, I will share it here.

I know the details of his return. I am a Furry Hearts Rescue volunteer. Tiny was one of a group of cats who's owner died and the daughter opened the door of the house and released 10 inside cats to the outside world. The house is on the street in back of my house. Most of the cats were captured and Furry Hearts found homes for most of them. Tiny was adopted and was in a home until he escaped. Anyway, once he got out at some point we thought he might return to his original home. So on Wednesday I was in my backyard and there was Tiny in my yard. He got a bit skittish and ran back to his (comfort zone) previous home in back of my house. I went over to the house and put out cat food for him so he wouldn't leave the area. He remembered me and let me pet him. Yesterday, Lisa of Furry Hearts met me over there and we got Tiny into a carrier and Lisa took him right to the vet's office. Tiny had a bite wound on his leg and the vet cleaned it and gave him antibiotics and a rabies shot to be on the safe side.

Tiny is now recuperating from his adventures and safe in a temporary home. Tiny will be looking again for his forever loving home in the future. He is a sweetheart of a kitty cat and when he looks at you with those big eyes your heart just melts.

Awwww... so glad he is safe. It's very disorienting for cats when they are moved to a new home and are not familiar with the people or surroundings. And I have no words for the daughter who let 10 confused cats out into the world. None. Nope. Nada.

Tiny is adorable, and I hope he will have a new loving home soon that understands they have to be very careful with him until he understands he is in a new home and that he wants to stay there.

Jeanneh, I think you meant to say you are NOT Tiny's owner?

And to change the thread title, back out into the Categories section. Look at the list of threads until you find this one. Look below the thread title for the "edit" button.

I caught (and kept) one of the 10...Pepper. I saw Tiny outside...a very sweet boy but skittish. So glad he is back
