Garbage Day

Today was my W M garbage day. No show. Called and they said by 5. Anyone else have this happen. It occurs too often.

WI is more reliable. 

WM sent an email “regarding Labor Day holiday, Thursday trash pick up occurring on or after the holiday will be provided with no delay, all other services will be the following day “

So they will pickup this Friday?  Doesn’t make sense

WM apologized in an e-mail at 7:20 and will be here tomorrow.

Guess what? No show. Now they say Sept 4. I wonder.

Did they mention a refund of any sort?

Yesterday I received a service questionnaire from WM. Later in the day the trash was picked  up.

No garbage pick up by WI nor was there recycling picked up. At least the missed recycling was free, WI does not like my address for whatever reason as I have to call about skipped pick ups quite often.

Recycling for Monday/Thursday was picked up on Tuesday due to the holiday.  This may have thrown off the schedule for the other zones as well.  To verify, call the recycling hotline at DPW and leave a message.  Phone number is on the town website.

Doesnt seem like my neighbors recycling was picked up either but not sure if their trash was or not. WI doesnt give a hard time about coming back around but when they miss the Friday pick up I'm stuck with trash until the next Tuesday.  When I get home on Fridays the office is already closed. Seems to happen more in summer than winter 

All recycling pickups got pushed back a day. Loads of people in our zone put theirs out Monday night as usual, but nothing got picked up until this morning. I do sympathize with you constantly being looked over. My house is like second to last house on our street on the edge of Maplewood and back in the pre-Basso days it never got picked up, so I gave up and always carved out some Saturday time to take it to the DPW center. 

I stand corrected. WI is giving a hard time to pick up their missed pick up. Aug 26th was my last trash pick up.

Once or twice a week pick up?  Someone told me that all once a week pick up by WI is now done on Wednesday regardless of your zone.

Tues and Friday service is what I pay for but rarely get. Once my next bill comes due I'll go back to WM. I found them to be more expensive but much more customer friendly.
