Preston HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!!

Little cutie Preston is a friendly male kitten just waiting for a loving family to take him home. Preston was rescued off the cruel streets as a tiny baby and is now patiently waiting for the perfect family to snuggle and play. He is super soft and very social. He would flourish in a home, and no longer be behind the bars of a cage. Preston gets along with other cats, so he would be happy to have buddies, or to be your one and only.

Preston is available now. Please contact Furry Hearts rescue for an adoption application. (973) 761-0330

Since my kids are pining to have cats again, but we adults are not sure we want cats permanently, fostering might be a good move for a bit. We've managed to cat sit with our dog here (we used to have cats ourselves). Wondering how the rescue would feel about us fostering with a hound in the house. Any idea?

Give Lisa a call and ask. (973) 761-0330

and...thank you

These three need foster homes ASAP, they have upper respiratory infection, and are not yet old enough to be adopted out yet. If you have it your heart, and room in your home, please call lisa.

I have crates you can borrow.

Sassy, Sadie and Sophie

What a beautiful tiny trio of calico kitties. Sassy Sadie and Sophie were rescued from the street along with their fur mom Sally. These special kitties will need a quiet home and more socialization to reduce their fears and learn to trust that they will have a secure and loving home. With a little attention and patience any one of these beauties are sure to become a playful, loving member of your family. All our adopted kitties need to be indoor only kitties.

Poor babies. If only I had somewhere to keep fosters, away from my own cats.

Georgie

Meet Georgie, a little female tuxedo kitty. Little Georgie was rescued from the cold cruel streets and now sits patiently waiting for a warm safe home. She is very friendly but, she will need time trust her family. She’s very optimistic that the family that chooses her will understand her shy quirky ways and help her to develop into a cuddly playful member of their family. Georgie also has a cuddly sweet side that she’d love to share with you and your family. All our adopted kitties need to be indoor only kitties. Georgie is healthy and UTD on shots.

Beautiful sweet Virginia still waits for a home of her own.

Come meet her at Puppy Love on Springfield Ave., Maplewood.

And two new Fluffy tuxedo kitties needing a quiet foster or adoptive family.

And then, there's this little nugget.

bump, because I saw the kittens in person and holy cuteness.

If you can't adopt, you can still help!

More kittens that need a quiet home to learn and trust have just come in.

Any fosters out there?

When my children were younger we fostered feral kittens, and tamed them so they could be adopted to loving homes. It was a wonderful experience for them. Maybe you would like you're children to experience this too? What's more fun than playing with kittens?

I'll take pictures of them Saturday and post here, but meanwhile, if you can't wait for Saturday, then, go over to Puppy Love on Springfield Ave in Maplewood and see them yourself.

Maybe today is a good day to adopt a kitty today :-D

Started fostering these two sweet, siblings for Furry Hearts Rescue. They arrived Sunday and we put them in separate cages. The cali was crying a lot. We tucked them in at 9:30. At 10 my granddaughter went to look in on them. The tabby was gone! He had pushed/slid out the floor of the crate and escaped! We found him in the room nearby with his sibling. Big brother? to the rescue! No more crying. Half an hour and 3 people later they were in the crate together. I believe the orange tabby is spoken for but the beautiful cali is available. Today they let us pet them through the crate and the cali played with a string for a few.

@ginpeace, one of the orange kitties has a potential adopter the other one is available! My friend @bigben has the other orange kitty. Is yours a girl or a boy? Hers appears to be a girl, pretty unusual for an orange tabby.
I took home the long-haired tux to foster and he is a doll!

Kittens Kittens Kittens!

This is Cali (now called Autumn) before she went to foster with ginpeace.

Thank you for fostering!

Furry Hearts needs more foster parents!

Have these kittens been picked up in Maplewood? Are there feral mamas (and papas) they belonged to?

The red/white one I'm fostering is a male. Oopsie on my original hasty call.

@cats, these kittens were caught with their feral mom, a pretty calico.

Currently Furry Hearts Rescue is only TNVR in Maplewood.

There is a feral mama cat up for adoption. She's very pretty, mostly white, but with calico spots. She's the mama to Sassy, Sadie and Sophie. (shown above) She will need a very patient quiet home.

Her name is Sally. Sally has not revealed who the father of her 3 girls are, but indicated she only met him once, and does not have any interest in locating him EVER. I hope this answers Cat's question above re: the parents of the kittens.

Lots of progress today. Cali (pictured above) who we call Autumn because of her colorful markings let Casey pick her up and was playing intently with a cord. Both kitties allow pets through the crate. Tomorrow we will separate them but put the crates together. Pictures to come. She is so precious!

The handsome long haired Tux was neutered today, given rabies and distemper shot. He's recovering nicely.
I brought home his sister who has an incomplete back leg, (no foot). We do not know if it was congenital or from an injury so I am hoping giving her room to exercise and get out of a cage will help her to strengthen her other limbs.
With Valentine's Day around the corner what better way to demonstrate love than to adopt this special little girl and perhaps her brother as well, who is very protective of her.
I'll post her picture tomorrow.
The two of them are pictured higher up on this thread.

Kittens Kittens...sweet, sweet kittens....

I'm loving the updates from our foster parents. Keep them coming...

meanwhile.....sharing more cute pictures of needy kittens!

She's got her toy and she is NOT GIVING IT UP!
This is the cutie that is the sister of the Long Haired Tux boy above!
She is very special as she has a different back leg. She is missing her back foot but is active and playful and very adept at cuddling her toy mouse. She purrs when you pet her and is temporarily separated from her brother to help get them open to playing with people and other cats, just in case they go their separate ways.
:Yes of course it would be great if they find a home together so on that note, "Who wants some love for Valentine's Day!

@jeanneh

I would foster a kitty but I don't have a litter box LOL

If I can get one borrowed or free I would gladly foster a kitty. My daughters would love that they are great with kitties wink
