I have many. I will wait for an appropriate thread.
Or maybe I will start one. Give me a little time.
Interesting. Reminds me of the time during the Vietnam business when we were circulating petitions. One guy refused to sign because he said to do so would threaten his job situation.
We explained that he did not give up his Constitutional right to Free Speech because of any job he held. He never signed. He would have loved McCarthyism and the years of the blacklist.

Hi and Happy New Year.
For the last 21 years I have been constrained from voicing my opinions or participating in discussions that could in any way be deemed controversial. That resulted from the position I held with the Township. Now I have retired from that position and am FREE!
So what's new?
If you are interested in getting involved, we have openings on the Seniors Advisory Committee and could use informed, out-spoken members ready, willing, and able to challenge the way in which the town functions when it comes to improving programs and services so as to better meet the needs of our senior population. Our next meeting is on Thursday January 10, 2019 at the Maplewood Senior Center at 7 pm. Meeting is open to the public and all are welcome to attend. Send me a PM or post here if you would like more information.

I was told that each route is limited to 15 bar code stickers and all 15 for my route were in use.
That is crazy!

For those who missed my quickly deleted rant, I was complaining about service issues on the post office delivery route that serves my street in Maplewood. A complaint was lodged this morning with the Post Master who serves Maplewood.

The job I had required me to give up my a substantial portion of my Free Speech rights.

Joan,
I have put it on my calendar and will try to attend. Is the Senior Center in the building at DeHart Park on Burnett?
The Senior Center is between Maplewood Crossing and DeHart Park. It used to be a church. The address is 106 Burnet Avenue. If you are interested in joining the committee, Dean Dafis would be the TC member to speak with about being appointed.
Thank you.
Since the next meeting is open to the public I may attend and then decide whether I want to be on the Advisory Committee.
All of our meetings are open to the public. Looking forward to seeing you there.
