hopefully it is microchipped. is there any way to get it scanned before sending it to the shelter? would your vet do it for you for free?

Good thought, thanks. Stranded today with car in the shop, but it's possible -- would be great to see if it's microchipped.

Hello neighbors. My family found a small black and white cat late last night. It was on the corner of Riggs Pl and Gardner in S.O. (2 blocks from Seton Hall). It seemed lost and would not leave its spot on the berm, even when my two dogs tried to attack it. It eventually got up and walked around, but didn't leave the area and we were afraid it might get hit by a car on the corner. The cat has no collar though seems friendly and clean. Appears it could be a well-loved pet. I've posted to the FB group in my area and no results so far. We eventually took the cat into our home in a dog carrier to keep it safe, and also safe from our two dogs. We cannot keep it and would love to find its owner. Not sure if its male or female. I will be posting to the SOMA Animal group as well. Thank you. Pics attached.
