It's April. I wouldn't worry too much about the quality of your antifreeze.

I was more worried about its properties as a coolant.

Generally, the cooling powers (or heat capacity) of anti-freeze are not as good as the cooling powers of pure water. https://www.hotrod.com/articles/glycol-or-water-coolant/
Anti-freeze when combined with water in appropriate proportion provides protection from freezing and corrosion.
Pure anti-freeze (unless stated on bottle as being previously diluted) is generally not good for your car as it lacks sufficient heat transfer ability. https://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/os-xpm-1989-03-02-8903030329-story.html

I have some 7 year old antifreeze in my basement that I am thinking about using. Internet seems to say it is safe but I thought I would double check with y'all. I wouldn't want to ruin my car just because I was too lazy to walk a couple of blocks to buy some new.
