I voted a couple of days ago (from afar). I generally identify as a Californian but, given that my last 10 years in the US were spent in NJ, it appears I will be voting against* NJ Republicans for the rest of my life.
*I actually like Mikie Sherrill Voted for her.
I voted using the drop box in front of the Hilton branch Library.
My wife and son have voted by mail, but I like to go in person. I'll head up to Codey soon.
Dropped my ballot in the South Orange drop box by the train station a few days ago.
I am planning to log in and make sure my vote was received and there’s no issues with it.
I like to go in person and have the volunteer look at my votes as I put it through the machine.

look at your votes? I don’t understand. Your ballot is supposed to be secret.

So often they try to take the ballot from you to feed it into the scanner. Drives me nuts. I always slide it in to the scanner while holding it in the privacy sleeve.

I’ll buy that for a dollar.
Seriously though I highly recommend signing up for https://voter.svrs.nj.gov/auth/sign-in.
You can check your registration status and track your ballot which is really helpful when voting by mail.

I’ve been voting by mail since 2019 so I haven’t seen this kind of voting machine. The last time I voted in person you pushed buttons on the screen then pulled the lever to cast your vote.

Switched to scannable paper ballots a few years ago. Great improvement. Always hated those DREs. No paper trail.
My daughter was learning the Schoohouse Rocks! The Preamble song at school. I watched the video with her. Those are the voting machines I miss.
I have my mail-in ballot and will be putting it in the box by the Hilton Library in the next few days.

Yes, by mail
Hope to never step into a polling place.
Normally, I prefer to vote in our local polling place on election day, when I can just walk down to vote, but we're going to be away on election day this year.
It's been 10+ years since I moved away from New Jersey and surrendered my Jersey voter registration. My cell is a NJ number, tho, and I've received nearly a dozen calls and even more texts from the Democrats urging me to vote.
I wish them the best, but wonder why they can't get a more up-to-date voter list to work from.
Added: these calls address me by name, so they're not just randomly calling 973 numbers
I voted at Our Lady of Sorrows. No lines, very pleasant. I've never given any thought to someone seeing my ballot so if they are curious, they can just ask me or peek.
As someone who works at polling places, assisting voters and then afterwards, assisting with the tallying, thank you all for participating in this huge civic event. Every vote counts!
Early voting for the NJ-11 special election is underway. Election Day itself is next Thursday, April 16th.
Early voting ends on the 14th. The closest location is at the Family Center next to the Turtle Back Zoo.

We went to early voting over by the zoo on Monday, I highly recommend it as the parking is easy and the people there are helpful and friendly.
Go during the day. The Armadillo is asleep after 5 p.m. or so.

We didn't see the armadillo, but did see this fellow being taken for a walk.
Not yet, but my ballot will be going into the secure county box before April 16th.

Me too. I did so today .☺️
My mail-in ballot was in my house for about two hours before it went into the drop box. No thinking required.

I voted!
Essex County early voting up by the Codey Arena.
