Cozumel and Falmouth Jamaica

Heading out on a cruise in November. (This was rescheduled after my accident and surgery in February) Normally we do the ship excursions but open to ideas. We will be in Falmouth from 11-7 and Cozumel fro 8-7 . Last time AI was in Jamaica the excursion got back 2 hours late and the ship waited because it was a sanctioned excursion so it makes me a little leery to do anything off ship.

Ideas?

if you've never been to Jamaica you might enjoy climbing Dunns  river falls. Warning: it is very touristy and crowded. I have a private driver I use in Jamaica if you want contact info. To me, Jamaica is about its beaches. Not great shopping there and few "must see attractions". It's the beaches and the people that make it special.

I wouldn't worry about doing a private excursion just don't plan it or sign up for one that ends too close to sail time. If I go off on my own, I plan that it should end by 2-3 hours before on board time.

Cozumel is a really charming little town. You will have the opportunity to take a ferry to Cancun which is gorgeous, but uber-touristy.

Go on CruiseCritic and look for that particular boat, and you will read about people's actual experiences with the specific excursions.

The excursion that is not to be missed, though, is the one in Ft. Lauderdale.  surprised
