Condo building on Valley Street across from Columbia High School

Is anyone familiar with this building?

Apartments look nice and there is a gym and outdoor pool.

Location is convenient - close to both Maplewood and South Orange train.

But...how is the neighborhood?

Safety at night, i.e., walking home from the train during the dark?

Does anyone know anyone living in the buidling?  How do they like it?

I believe that a person somewhat active on MOL moved there recently. I do not know if he will respond to this or wants to go public with where he lives but if it was OK with him it is likely a very good place.

My MIL just moved in there two months ago.  She is about 4 min walk from me. I think it's a fine neighborhood. The building gym is so-so (but the Blink Fitness is going in close by in the fall). The pool looks fantastic. So far, she likes it.

I don't know about the gym, but--as a visitor I can say--the units are beautiful and the pool is great. Never really crowded. Last year, they converted to a salt water pool. Much less chlorine-y. (You can bring a couple of guests.)

A friend of mine moved there and really likes it. Apartments are lovely and the price seems right. Only caveat: she says the windows onthe front of the building can get significant street nois.e Neighborhood is fine and getting better all the time.

Good to keep in mind re: street noise

Also:  does anyone complain about all the antennas on the roof of that building?  Are they concerned about safety risks?
