fwiw, floor refinishers recommended Bona product over the Murphy's. I find it easy to use and effective, but I miss the smell of Murphy's. I love the Bona mop, which has a machine washable microfiber pad instead of sponge.
eta: It takes little to no water, which is good if there's ANY space at edges/ends of boards.
yep. Bona. Or, for a good smelling product- Method brand wood floor cleaner. Smells almondy. And, you can use the Bona applicator with it
I use water and vinegar with a well squeezed mop. Google for precise measurements and related discussions.
bklyngirl, we use a mopping roomba type toy with a light mixture of hot water and vinegar.
Bona, mixed with water. Murphys is too oily and makes the floors slippery.

What is the best way to clean kitchen hardwood floors? I've used Murphy's soap in the past. Some of the wood looks a little pitted. Perhaps my cleaning lady is cleaning them too often or using too much water.
