Cioffi's?

Does anyone know anything about Cioffi's restaurant and catering in Springfield/Union? I'm considering them for catering and remember hearing good things but would like some outside opinions. Thanks!

I have attended parties in their party room (both buffet and off the menu) and eatten in the dining room. Food is good. Service is good. Fairly typical Italian food of the sort generally found in our area - pizza; heroes; pasta dishes; chicken; veal; sausage; etc. Fresh salad, soups in season, liquor license. Parking is somewhat limited if you are planning to hold a large gathering in-house as opposed to ordering out.

My daughter and son in law held a small party for grandaughter's christening a few years ago. Food and service good people were friendly. Party was about 35 people or so. Room was a little tight but mainly because there were babies with strollers or car beds etc.

Love Cioffi's. Have been going there for over 20 years (even had a brief Ray Liotta sighting in the early nineties)

They are our go to place for catering and "big sandwiches".

My family is Italian and we find Cioffi's to be pretty much the real deal.

Definitely not fancy but I always leave there happily full!

Up until our last time there, I would have bragged that even my kids behave long enough to eat their food but alas, they were typical hellions shoving food in their mouths with their hands before jumping all over the banquette like a trampoline (both girls). Good thing there is a full bar ; )
