GAK. I thought that was this Saturday. how was it??
Uncle Dave - will there be a space in time where the old blogs will come back and all will be balenced. Like when Darth Vader had to go to the dark side - and then came back to do something good? Or is this like lima beans on pizza?
All in all a pretty good afternoon. Mike Peters sounded great and played for about an hour and a half. [Ran into Mike on the way to the loo. Nice chap.] Fab Faux were really good and played a lot of lesser tunes [Dear Prudence, I am the Walrus, Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except for Me & My Monkey] which was a lot better than hearing the standards. La Bamba with Southside Johnny left me yawning [I don't get SJ...must be a Jersey thing]. Cheap Trick was pretty good playing most of their hits. Enjoyed their stage presence. Followed by an extended fireworks show. Other than the residual mud, MusicFest '06 was a success.
Well. What can I say? It's been a while. You've been on my mind lately. Man. Do I miss you. I try to get my head around what happened and it does not make it to the other side.
How are the provolone pants?
Like the song says - and suddenly you were gone - from all the lives you left your mark upon. And like the movie says - we may be done with the past - but the past ain't done with us.
The group still gets together. Halarity at all times. You know that. It is not the same w/o you - but you left a lot of stories to fill that void.
Had on that song "trans am". I am sure you know Jay says, "no neil yound before midnight". But. Hey. It was about 9pm. It's midnight for me.
We know there is a ghost in the machine. So. I hope you are reading this. Maybe with your dad. In front of a leafs game.
no, that's the season closer for Lost. You'll see. I can also say that this season, most of the people on the Island will find Mr. Rourke looks a lot like Kahn from Start Trek II. But you didn't hear it from me.

I wish this had more to do with self driving cars..... seems that the parkway would be a perfect place for this?
There was a car all rigged up to computers maybe a year ago that drove across the country. It was driven by computers something like 99.2% of the way across the country. The only time the human driver had to take over was in heavy traffic. So, we are on our way to traffic free driving.
The Thomas Edison Memorial Tower and Menlo Park Museum was built in 1937 to mark the "Birthplace of Recorded Sound" in the Menlo Park section of what is now the town of Edison. The World's Largest Light Bulb is thirteen feet tall, weighs eight tons, and is illuminated at night. The tower marks the spot where Edison invented the light bulb (Henry Ford stole the actual workshop and bottled Edison's Last Breath). The museum curator, Jack Stanley, entertained with amazing tales of Edison and his competitors, but said the Last Breath thing was a bunch of hooey.
Inside the tower's base is a "highly exhausted" light bulb that's been burning since 1929, when the tower was built. Or at least it was there when we visited years ago. This trip, the tower was locked up tight, showing signs of deterioration. There's a local effort underway to restore it and expand the museum.
(World's Largest Light Bulb: 37 Christie Street, Edison - Menlo Park, NJ Directions: Garden State Parkway Exit 30 heading towards Edison-Metuchin, take route 27, watch for right on Christie Street. Leaves are nature's food factories. Plants take water from the ground through their roots. They take a gas called carbon dioxide from the air. Plants use sunlight to turn water and carbon dioxide into glucose. Glucose is a kind of sugar. Plants use glucose as food for energy and as a building block for growing. The way plants turn water and carbon dioxide into sugar is called photosynthesis. That means "putting together with light." A chemical called chlorophyll helps make photosynthesis happen. Chlorophyll is what gives plants their green color.
