Somebody has been posting on Facebook SWAP that they are a bike repair guy who comes to you. I think his first name is Danny (?) I'll try to look for it, but maybe someone here also remembers that??
ETA - The SWAP folks say his name is Daniel Appleton. https://www.facebook.com/Daniel.A.Ives.II
Unless they are high end road bikes, it is likely not worthwhile unless you do all the work yourself (no bike shop). Please let us know what you decide in the end.
Take detailed pictures of them and post them, and I can give you an idea of what your next steps are. Also, tell us what you would like to do with the bikes, i.e. ride them on weekends or every day or give them away or whatever.
Thanks! I will take picture this evening (if it's not storming) and post them tomorrow.

So I have about 5 bicycles in varying stages of decay in my garage. If any can be salvaged, I'm all for it, but I need to know if they are salvageable - or if the cost would be almost as much as buying new ones. I also would prefer to NOT have to haul them to a bike shop to get this information. Does anyone know enough about bikes to let me know if I should try to fix any of these?
