Atlantic City Stay

Looking for recommendations and any deals for a mid-week stay. TIA.

Harrahs was super cheap last week Wed and Thurs nights.  Something like $95 a night.

they should all be fairly cheap midweek this time of year. Harrahs is nice but a bit of the pain because not on the boardwalk. Caesars is the nicest, Ballys is fine too. Tropicana rooms are pretty gross. Try the Chelsea too- no casino but a cute boutique hotel right on boardwalk

the Borgata will do anything to get people in.  We were offered a free sheet set!  Call and ask if they any free rooms.

Friend got flea bites at the Tropicana.

I've been to AC once and stayed at the Borgata - it is not on the boardwalk but it had everything we needed.  Really enjoyed it.

Borgata is the nicest hotel in AC.

But if you really want to be on the boardwalk, then just go with the best deal - there is not a huge difference from one to another.  

Yeah, there is. On the Boardwalk, Tropicana is a dump as is Resorts. Terrible rooms. Taj Mahal is in pretty sorry shape also. Caesars close to Borgata in quality. Bally's somewhere in the middle

Borgata the nicest but not on the ocean.

Trump is excellent, especially in the Tower.

What about the Claridge?  No casino but gets good reviews of late.

nooooooo! The creepy old wing attached to Ballys. "Renovated" a few years ago but still the creepy old wing no one wants. For the cheap prices you'll pay for a weekday, spend the literary $10-20 more and pick Caesars, Ballys or if ocean/boardwalk doesn't matter- Borgata or Harrahs 

I haven't been there in so long.   Weird, since it's so close.  I feel like it's Asbury park in its dying days.

it's a depressing place more so the past year. We used to go 3 or 4x a year. Now, once or twice usually in the summer because of the beach (free access). Some really good restaurants past few years although I'll bet we'll see some of them start to die out now too
