Like The Shins...especially like the Mercer - Danger Mouse collaboration of Broken Bells.
LOVE the shins. Are they still recording? Or is Mercer (who basically is the Shins) only doing solo work?

Didn't see Garden State till long after it came out. Recall hearing Phantom Limb around the time it was released, and being blown away how catchy and complex the music was and how the lyrics seemed to have a mythical quality about them. When I looked up the actual lyrics, the song's story wasn't mythical, but no less engaging. James Mercer's one of the best songwriters out there.
