anyone else awakened by very loud noises?

Greetings, I'm just wondering if anyone else was awakened very early in the wee hours last night by some very low, loud booming sounds?? Near Midland and Suffolk? 

I'm not far from there, but didn't hear anything.

Could it possibly be exploding head syndrome? I get that on occasion.

I experienced this over the summer. . . it was nuts. With that said, I never thought it was an external sound.

 I live 2 blocks from where the OP mentions and I did not hear anything.

I'm always half asleep so more often than not I actually think it is external since I am in a confused half awake state when it occurs.

The construction on Springfield Ave last night was pretty raucous.

Are you by Winchester Gardens?  They have late night/early AM issues with garbage pick up- The mayor was very helpful in changing times for the local area since WM will bang in there! Good Luck!

Hmmm. Thanks all. I guess it could have been a truck or some construction noise.  And I suppose at 4:30a it also could have been my head exploding and I'd have been too asleep to notice.
