NY Times just introduced Crossplay which is Scrabble, but with enough minor changes to avoid getting sued.
yeah - I think they're going to have a challenge competing with words with friends or Scrabble's app.
I don't see anyone copying a 2 person boggle game at the moment. Wonder if there's a reason why. Maybe there's a patent on how they score the words. hmm
We used to do the AA, AB, AC, AD game. Each person has to name a well-known person with the initials, AA. Then someone AB, another AC until AZ, then BA BB, BC etc. All the way to ZZ. Some are easy, some less so.
I would begin with Alan Alda, then someone could say Alec Baldwin, then Art Carney, you get the idea.
then how does someone lose? If they can't name someone with those initials in a certain amount of time? It would be hard to verify names unless I had a full database of famous people's names.
I remember playing that - just not sure how it would translate to an online strategy game.
No, it's not an online strategy game. No winners and no losers. Just fun trying to come up with a name of someone whose initials are KQ.
Kate Quinn (author, I am reading one of her books right now so this was actually easy 😄)

Ha! I thought that would be a challenging one.
Is there a good reason that it has to be a word game? I used to play photo puzzle game on a $$$ bar machine. I haven’t found anything like it. I have looked for something other than words nd jigsaws but haven’t had success. Does anyone else like logic pules, mazes?

There are a few picture games in this part of MOL that haven't yet been archived.
Plink ! and Picture Post Match are two examples.
There's also a 'Name That Tune' game in this section.

I'm only think of games that might be easier to program. Might be able to do a jigsaw type game and people could upload local images perhaps.
LinkedIn has a word game where they reveal one word at a time and after each word you guess the category.
They call it Pinpoint.
There’s also 4 Pictures 1 Word: You get a range of 4 or 6 cartoon-style pics and have to choose one that is part of the target word. Your next set of pics reveals another word-part (usually a syllable)..
‘Cartoon’ might be a selection including a car, and a person singing.
ok, built a Jigsaw one - this could be a keeper:

I wrote this one - has some promise - only 14 or so combinations in place at the moment:

I remember back in the day we had a version of Boggle working - could revisit something like that.
