Allergy specialist needed - possible delayed bee sting reaction

Can anybody recommend a good allergy specialist. I have a situation that could be a delayed reaction to wasp stings. While very uncommon, reactions can occurred more than a week after the stings.

Dr. Kerry Lebenger, Summit Medical Group

Oh dear! I was stung by a bumble bee last month, and two days following was when I had the reaction..swelling, and pain, and brusing. When it first happened I took Benedryl and all seemed fine. Almost a month later and you can still see slight pink to the skin about 1" all around the sting sight.

Depending on the severity of your reaction, I think you may need more urgent care.

Yes, this...I would start there first.

I got stung a number of years ago on my wrist and my hand and arm swelled to the point of looking like a prosthetic. I called my allergist and he asked me to explain the symptoms; asked if there was any red creeping up my arm (there wasn't). He told me it was a "local reaction" and that I would be fine in a week or two. Well, the next day, I was still feeling anxious about it and went to the ER. They told me it was a "local reaction" and that I would be fine in a week or two...

eta: I was fine in a week or two...

Ended up going to see Dr. David K. Brown at Overlook. Great doctor - available Saturday morning. Even returned a Friday night call. Anyway, suspected cause of hives is a reaction to doxycline which was prescibed to prevent an infection from a brace of yellow jacket stings.

I was stung by a yellow jacket on my toe at the Maplewood train station Thursday AM. Half of the top of my foot is red, swollen and itchy. I've looked up reactions and treatments online and don't see any magic bullets. Benadryl last night didn't make a difference. Will a Dr. visit this AM give any better answers?

I ended up with prednisone and an antibiotic when I got stung two or three summers ago. How did you fare?
