I'm around 50%.

A lot. I start to type, which gets whatever bug it is out of my system. Sometimes just typing out an answer clears the air in my head. Then I think, do people really need to hear this? Prob. not so I let it go and close the window.
Harder to do in stressful times which is why my post:lurk ratio has gone up in recent days.
I don't post any where very often, but on MOL, about a third of my posts are deleted; other places on the internet, about half. Normally I would have deleted this, but since you asked....

You don't post often enough, in my opinion.
Maybe a third of the time. I will start to post something and then question whether this is something I really want to say on line.
It depends on the thread. What's Happening in the Rose Garden I would say about 97%. Most others probably around 1/3.
I'd say about 20% are deleted. I get to the end, realize the person I'm replying to probably doesn't give a rat's *** what I think, and then delete.
The Return To All Discussions button has always been my best friend on MOL. Like others, I often type out my screed, then instead of hitting Reply, hit RTAD and I'm happy. Every now and then there's a post that I know I want to respond to, but the discussion has moved on so I copy my post to Notes or something in case I want to bring it up the next time the same poster says the same thing. But in general I don't post about 60% of what I write.
I often want to post, and will write a response, but then think better of it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
