American football receiver Victor Cruz was born November 11, 1986, in Paterson, New Jersey. A standout high school athlete, Cruz eventually starred for the University of Massachusetts football team. After going undrafted in 2010, Cruz signed with his hometown New York Giants. With injuries plaguing the Giants' receivers at the start of the 2011 season, Cruz was thrust into the starting lineup. He wasted little time taking advantage of the situation. For the regular season, Cruz led the club in receptions and set a club record in receiving yards. Who can forget his week 16 play verses the NY Jets where he tied an NFL record with an explosive 99-yard touchdown catch which became a turning point for the NY Giants Championship season? In the NFC title game against the San Francisco 49ers, Cruz caught 10 balls for 142 yards. In Super Bowl XLVI, Cruz helped steer the Giants to victory over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Cruz proved to be one of the media darlings during the Giants' Super Bowl run. He earned particular notice for his celebrated salsa touchdown dance, which he said he did in honor of his late grandmother. Victor played with the NY Giants through the 2016 season. Join us and enjoy a hot delicious breakfast cooked by Men’s Club members and a fabulous program! There will be an *autograph signing opportunity with Mr. Cruz. (* Autographs limited to 1 item per person and subject to time.) Craig Kantor, Rob Stecklow, Andy Sonnenberg, Evan Mason, Scott Wolfson, Carey Gertler and Mitch Katz are members of MC Sports Breakfast Committee. Brian Altman is TBA Men’s Club President.
