Maplewood Community Music and the Maplewood Concert Band are proud to be participating in Jammin’ in July on July 23rd. This event is a chance to celebrate National Parks and recreation month with the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs on Tuesday, July 23rd at 7pm.
Conductor, Michael Jedwabnik, will conduct the band in a presentation of Fancy footwork with a combination of dances, marches and toe-tappers such as “National Game '', with a tribute to America’s favorite pastime. A featured selection for the evening will be “A Chorus Line,” by Marvin Hamlish, followed by “Beguine for Band”, “Galop Festivo” and “El Capitan" amongst others.
The performance is rain or shine. The Maplewood Concert Band concert will be held at 7pm at the Paddle Boat Pavilion at 9 Cherry Lane in the South Mountain Reservation in West Orange, New Jersey.
