Event Date: May 16th, 2018 at 8:00am - 7:30pm
Address : 187 Boyden Avenue, Maplewood, NJ, United States
Town : Maplewood
Information:

Join our congenial party as we venture to the East End of Long Island. The journey to East Hampton will go by in a flash as we view the feature film Pollock on the way. The Ed Harris film is a perfect preview for our first stop: the Pollock-Krasner House, where we will have a docent-led tour of the 19th-century farmhouse where Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner lived their turbulent lives and the barn studio where they created some of the most groundbreaking art of the 20th Century. We’ll follow the tour with a two-course lunch at Springs Tavern, formerly Jungle Pete’s, the legendary watering hole for Pollock, Willem de Kooning and other artists and writers who settled in Springs in the 1940s and 50s. If time permits, we’ll spend some time shopping in East Hampton’s storied Main Street before heading to Palmer Vineyards, a gorgeous estate in Riverhead for an al fresco four-flight wine tasting accompanied by charcuterie. Registration deadline: April 16. Fee: $169. Coach leaves Maplewood Pool Parking Lot, 187 Boyden Avenue (between Elmwood and Springfield Avenues).
